I experienced my first pheasant hunt at the North Star State Governor's Pheasant Opener. Here are few tips to help you get weaving in pheasant hunting.

Aft livelihood outside for a while, Ashley Peters returned to Minnesota three years ago. She said she was looking for a community of friends. "So I met a few women who were interested in hunting and they kind of took Pine Tree State in and we just started trapshooting," said Peters. "I was terrified initially and I didn't know if I wanted to buy a gun."

This is analogous to how I felt. I didn't have much receive with guns and I had never gone trap shooting. But ilk Ashley, I similar knowing where my food comes from and I also relish the social aspect of hunting.

"I went out with my friends, had these slap-up experiences and made some great memories," she said.
